Clay Libolt - Interim Pastor
Pastor Clay comes to us most recently from Southern California, where he was the interim pastor of CrossPoint Church in Chino. Before CrossPoint, he was for a year and half, the interim pastor of Sonlight Community Church in Lynden, Washington. Before retiring (Pastor Clay says that he is not very good at retirement), he was for more than thirty years the pastor of River Terrace Church in East Lansing, Michigan.
Pastor Clay loves books, tennis, hiking, travel, Adria, and God, but not in that order. He loves the Bible, the way the writers of the Bible use words to present the grace and love of God. He hopes in his sermons to do the same thing.
Pastor Clay has had a lengthy connection with Mill Creek Church. Former pastor Chris Allen was once on his staff, and they have maintained a strong connection ever since. He has led retreats for the Mill Creek Church leadership and preached at the church often. He looks forward to deepening his relationship with the great people of Mill Creek Community Church.
Joy Tjoelker - Worship Planner
Joy and Larry joined Mill Creek Community Church in Spring of 2016 and have been so blessed to be a part of this community.
These words from the Psalms direct her life: “Sing a new song to the Lord! By day the Lord directs his love, at night his song is with me – a prayer to the God of my life.” Joy has been singing God’s songs since infancy.
Her formal piano training started at 5 years of age. Later she added viola, organ, guitar, and choirs; which have always played an important part in her music education.
Joy attended Lynden Christian Schools and Calvin College and taught elementary general music for K-6th grade at Bellevue Christian School for 9 years. Joy has also been actively working in churches since she was 14 years old, taught private piano for 36 years, and still teaches out of her home as well as for Northwest University in Kirkland.
Joy first met her special guy when they were 6 years old and latter married him. Theye’ve been blessed with 3 kids that have grown to be wonderful adults. She loves working at Mill Creek Community Church as the Worship Planner. God has allowed her to continue to praise him by placing her in this capacity. Come join MCCC and Joy to discover something musical and sing that NEW song!
Lynda Gizzi - Children's Director
Lynda joined our staff in in October of 2016. Her family started attending MCCC in 2015. Lynda has two boys, Evan and Ethan, and a wonderful husband named Joe.
Lynda loves Jesus, spending time with her family, camping, hiking, working out, eating sushi, and the color red. She is so excited to be partnering wtih MCCC in the Children’s Ministry to teach our children the love of Jesus. Sharing the love of Jesus is a huge part of her life and being a tangible part of sharing God’s love with our little ones holds great value to her.
Debbie LeDoux - Children's Director
Debbie joined our staff in October of 2016. She has two grown children and five grandchildren. Debbie has a huge servants heart and has been serving behind the scenes in many capacities at MCCC for numerous years.
Debbie is very gifted with a genuine joy and ability for working with children. Since she was in high school she could be found teaching in Sunday school and working on special programs for children's church.
Debbie's long history working with children and helping others became a career and throughout the years included; working in special education, social services for families and special needs adults, being an activities director for senior programs, and running her own in home daycare center.
Debbie loves growing things, the outdoors, and exploring all of God's creation. She is awed by and thankful for all the gifts God has graciously given us and looks very forward to passing that on to our children.
Kurtis Reardon - Director of Youth Ministries
Mr. Reardon joined the Mill Creek Community Church staff in August of 2014. Kurtis is from Western Washington and proud of it, though he did go to college in Eastern Washington to make himself more “well rounded.” At Whitworth University he studied Theology and the practical skill of frisbee.
He is making good use of his degree and frisbee skills in his position as the Director of Youth Ministries at MCCC. Kurtis sees MCCC as a great place to learn about hospitality and God’s grace.
He love's playing all kinds of sports; be sure to let him know if you want to kick a soccer ball or toss a frisbee.
Some of his other favorite activities are: cooking with his wife, playing games, having conversations, getting outdoors, and playing guitar.
The only other thing you need to know about Kurtis is that he does not like olives! Now that you know all about him, he is quoted as saying, "There, now can we be friends?"
Rene' McPherson - Church Administrator
In March of 2014 Rene’ joined the MCCC staff team. She enjoys her job and thinks the staff is a wonderful group of people to work with. Apart from her varied responsibilities at MCCC her favorite thing about her job is seeing God minister to the Mill Creek community and being a part of warmly welcoming all those who pass through the MCCC doors.
Rene’ earned her Bachelor of Science at George Fox University and continues to enjoy learning everything she can about God’s creation. She is amazed by the intricacies in which God formed the human body and it is not uncommon to find her curled up with a medical dictionary investigating the most recent physiology or anatomy question on her mind.
When not at work Rene’ spends the majority of her time raising her 5 children. Together the family enjoys outdoor activities, spontaneous dance parties, drinking tea, kayaking, birding, eating yummy food, and reading fun adventure books.
